Art practices high-risk/high-reward litigation. Because of his dedication and zeal for his clients, Art consistently thinks outside the box to maximize each of his clients’ recovery. For example, he was the lead appellate brief writer in a landmark environmental case where he and his co-counsel collected over $200,000,000 for his clients. And in just one class action that sought to recover underpayments and statutory damages relating to the improper discounting of medical bills by preferred provider organizations, he and his co-counsel collected over $300,000,000 in settlements for his medical provider clients and class members.
Art also focuses on cutting edge areas of the law. He represented Louisiana rice farmers who suffered losses as a result of the contamination of the United States’ long grain rice crop with genetically modified rice produced by Bayer. His clients have recovered over $40,000,000. Simply put, Art’s focus has been and remains on protecting the rights of the individual.
